meticulously painted depictions of faience and porcelain ware in 3 parts: the first (Faïences Patriotiques, Période Revolutionnaire) contains 58 drawings of plates decorated with motifs or themes from the French Revolution; the second (Porcelaines et Faïences, Genres Divers) shows 21 examples of a variety of ceramics from Rouen, Delft, and elsewhere; and the third (Marques de Porcelaines et Faïences ) is a manuscript guide to mostly French manufacturers of the 17th-19th centuries with over 400 drawings of their monograms and marks.
